“AEON Cheers Club” Members Become Young Coastal Clean Up Heroes Collect Over 13 Bags of Trash at Lung Kwu Tan & Learn the Importance of Environmental Protection

AEON Stores (Hong Kong) Co., Limited ("AEON Stores"), has always been committed to promoting environmental protection and contributing to the sustainable development of society through various initiatives. Every year, AEON organizes clean-up activities with different stakeholders in various districts across Hong Kong, not only protecting the environment but also connecting with the community. Since 2014, AEON Stores has established "AEON Cheers Club" in Hong Kong, recruiting members aged of 6 to 14 who live near stores, with a focus on nature and environmental protection education. Through a range of activities, members could learn about nature, the importance of environmental protection, and develop teamwork and independent thinking skills.

On 3rd April, 2026,  45 "AEON Cheers Club" members visited Lung Kwu Tan in Tuen Mun with AEON volunteers to clean up garbage on the beach, combating plastic pollution and marine waste, and contributing to a cleaner and better coastal environment! This coastal cleanup took place at Lung Kwu Tan in Tuen Mun. As there is a barbecue sites nearby, holiday visitors often leave behind various types waste, exacerbating the problem of coastal pollution. In just a few hours of beach cleaning activity, "AEON Cheers Club" members collected over 13 bags of garbage, weighing a total of 31.3 kilograms! 

Through this beach cleanup activity,“AEON Cheers Club”members not only learned about the messages of "Cherish Nature" and "Reduce Waste and Recycle," from the instructor's guidance but also developed independent skills and teamwork spirit as they cooperated with their peers without parental supervision.
