AEON Day: "The Conservancy Association" Green Builder –– Environmental Walk 2016

AEON is a staunch supporter of environmental protection. When we celebrated the reopening of Tsuen Wan Store in October, we invited our business partners to make donation instead of giving flowers. The fund raised was donated to the “Green Builder –– Environmental Walk 2016” event organized by the Conservancy Association as a joint effort to promote environmental protection and sustainable development.

The event was held on 13 March at Lung Fu Shan Country Park. More than 40 AEON staff joined this event as March's AEON Day activity. They walked from Victoria Peak to Hong Kong University. The Conservancy Association arranged eco guided tour and visit to the Pinewood Battery Heritage. The participants learned not only ecological conservation knowledge but also the recent history of Hong Kong.

During the journey, the Conservancy Association also conducted an exciting quiz game to consolidate the knowledge taught. All participants are very devoted to answer the questions. Finally, Mr. Rico Wong, Deputy Chief Executive of the Conservancy Association, presented the "Green Builder" certificate to Mr. Hideaki Yajima, Deputy Managing Director of AEON.

The event has offered the participants a chance to enjoy natural scenery, understand the ecological knowledge and recent history of Hong Kong, as well as contribute to environmental protection at the same time. Everyone has experienced a happy and meaningful green journey.
