AEON Day: HKSKH Lady MacLehose Centre Visit - Rice dumpling Workshop

On 11th April - "AEON Day", AEON volunteer team went to HKSKH Lady MacLehose Centre to participate a Rice Dumpling Workshop with Centre’s volunteer mentors. The Rice dumplings made in this workshop will be distributed in the elderly homes under HKSKH Lady MacLehose Centre in order to share the delicious food and joy with the elderly in the coming Dragon Boat Festival.

Two mentors taught AEON volunteers with patience in the workshop. The mentors prepared all ingredients well in advance such as green beans, rice, egg yolk, pork, dried scallop and etc. It is the first time for all volunteers to make rice dumplings. Everyone was very exciting and serious, grasping the skills in a short time. Finally we made around 100 pieces of rice dumplings in two hours. This meaningful activity brings the volunteers great satisfaction.
