On the AEON Day of October, AEON volunteer team went to visit the "Human Library" of The Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation Community Rehabilitation Network Wang Tau Hom Centre. Human Library is a library which replaces books with human beings. It is designed to build a positive framework for conversations that can challenge stereotypes and prejudices through dialogue.
In the beginning, volunteers experienced the challenges of disabled people on wheelchair facing every day. After that, they had conversation with the "books" of Human Library to understand the difficulties and needs of disabled people in their daily life and the impact of community facilities on them. Finally, AEON volunteers presented gifts to Human Library participants and the Centre. All participants had a great afternoon together.
