AEON STORES ANNOUNCES SUBSIDIARY AEON GD’S OPENING OF “AEON SUPERMARKET 廣州白雲設計之都店”

AEON Stores (Hong Kong) Co., Limited (“AEON Stores” or the “Group”) (stock code: 984) has today announced the Group's subsidiary, AEON GD's tenancy of a premise of Guangzhou Design City Shiguanghui Shopping Mall in Guang Zhou City, Guangdong Province, China. The new “AEON SUPERMARKET 廣州白雲設計之都店” store (or “the Store”) is set to open in about September of 2022, implementing the Group's strategy and further expanding its footprint of the Greater Bay Area (“GBA”).

The new store mainly targets to serve the needs of young families in the area, with healthy, conveniency, and high-quality as its store concept. The store will offer healthy food items and a variety of delicious ready-to-eat foods, while also including a range of personal care necessities and household products for customers to choose from. The new store will integrate online and offline sales platform, allowing for in-store pickup of online purchases, as well as providing delivery-to-home services and so forth to meet the different needs of customers and to enhance their shopping experience .

In 2021, AEON GD under AEON Stores successfully opened 6 new supermarkets in the GBA of PRC, with the most recent addition of “AEON SUPERMARKET 中山坦洲優越廣場店” in Tanzhou, Zhongshan city officially opening in December 2021, setting a new record high for new store openings within a year for the Group.
