JUSCO's SHAREHOLDERS APPROVE CHANGE OF COMPANY NAME TO AEON STORES (HONG KONG) CO., LIMITED (永旺(香港)百貨有限公司)

(HONG KONG, 19 June 2003) - JUSCO Stores (Hong Kong) Co., Limited (the "Company") announced that the proposed change of the Company name to "AEON Stores (Hong Kong) Co., Limited" and the Chinese Company name to "永旺(香港)百貨有限公司" was unanimously approved by its shareholders at the annual general meeting held today. Further to the approval of the shareholders, the change of name is subject to the approval of the Registrar of Companies in Hong Kong and is expected to be effective in July.

The change of company name was proposed in accordance with the change made to the holding company AEON Co., Ltd. (previously known as "JUSCO Co., Ltd.") on 21 August 2001. AEON Co., Ltd. is working to ensure that all its major subsidiaries will also carry the "AEON" name as part of their company names. The Company's retail business however will continue to be carried out under the "JUSCO 吉之島" name.
