AEON Volunteer Team: Food Recycling and Distribution in "Food Resourses Recycling Centre"

Since 2013, AEON has participated in the food donation project "Food Resourses Recycling Centre" in Lei Muk Shue Estate by the Conservancy Association. They regularly donates packaged food with good quality and has not passed the expiry date to family in need, promotes food recycling and makes good use of resources. From August 2013 to May 2022, AEON has donated a total of 43.3 tons of food to the "Food Resourses Recycling Centre".

On "AEON Day" in June, the AEON volunteer team came to the "Food Resourses Recycling Centre" to assist in the work of food recycling and distribution. Volunteers went to nearby shopping malls and markets to collect leftover snacks, fruits, vegetables, and bread, and then returned to the center for sorting, and distribute to nearby neighbors. A total of nearly 134 kilograms of food was collected that day, together with the dry food and snacks donated by AEON earlier, a total of 50 families were distributed. Through this activity, everyone has a better understanding of the work of food recycling, which not only protects the environment and reduces waste, but also can do good deeds. At the same time, also have a deeper understanding of the importance of cherishing food.
