Mil Mill - Pulp Mill & Education Centre Visit

On 10th February, a group of AEON staff visited Mil Mill - Pulp Mill & Education Centre in Yuen Long in order to understand more on the recycling procedures of beverage cartons; at the same time, to have a deeper understanding on the environmental contribution of AEON.

Having committed to making a contribution to the environment, AEON is dedicated to promoting environmental protection and sustainable development in the society through various means. Starting from the second half of the last year, we partnered with Vitasoy International Holdings Ltd to organize “Beverage Cartons Recycling Campaign”. A number of beverage cartons recycling boxes have been placed at 10 stores. In just a six-month period, the collected recyclables have been reached to over 750 kilograms. All of the recyclables have been delivered to Mil Mill - Pulp Mill for recycling.

Through the activity, AEON staff have not only gained knowledge about benefits and contributions of recycling beverage cartons towards the environment and circular economy respectively, but also raised their awareness of resource recycling in daily life through a paper-making workshop with the use of beverage carton pulp.
