AEON Volunteer Team: Hong Kong Tree Planting Day 2023

AEON Group has been continuously implementing tree planting activities and promoting environmental protection and sustainable development in society through various means. On 29 April, AEON volunteers joined the Hong Kong Tree Planting Day 2023 in Tai Tong, Yuen Tong.

Hong Kong Tree Planting Day was first launched in 1998. Over the years, AEON Group has continuously supported the event. For this year's event, it was the first time that has been resumed after the pandemic. All of the participants, including AEON volunteers, gathered at Tai Shu Ha Road West to attend the opening ceremony. After the ceremony, participants set off to the tree planting site. Each participant was given seedlings and everyone planted them carefully. More than 2,000 people from various government departments, non-profit organizations and institutions participated in the event and a total of 8,000 saplings were planted. For the AEON volunteer team of 23 staff members, everyone was very serious and planted a total of 120 saplings. It is hoped that the saplings would grow into a lush and healthy forest and bring benefits to the ecological environment.
