The Used Book Recycling Campaign 2023, which has been co-organized by World Vision Hong Kong and AEON Stores (Hong Kong) Co., Limited since 1992, held from 14th July to 31th July in all AEON STYLE, AEON stores and AEON SUPERMARKET, receiving great support from the public.
On 24th July, volunteers from AEON assisted in organizing books by specific categories at Fortress Hill Methodist Secondary School.
The funds raised from this event will support World Vision for the first time in local projects with an aim to support the learning and skills training of children with special educational needs (SEN) in Hong Kong, including building a "Gerontechnology" (combination of elderly services and technology) teaching environment, equipping children with special educational needs to develop social and vocational skills, and joining the elderly care service industry in the future. Also, the projects will provide dyslexia treatment and one-on-one tutoring classes for grassroots students with special educational needs, and help children to develop social and life skills through experience activities with parents.
