AEON Stores (Hong Kong), AEON Credit Service (Asia) and Friends of the Earth (HK) Jointly Host the Tree Planting Event

AEON Group has been an active contributor to environmental protection, committed to mounting environmental protection activities worldwide. Since 1991, AEON Group has carried out greening and forestation activities around the world, protecting the environment and biodiversity, and promoting the importance of protecting forests. As of February 2023, AEON has planted a total of 12.55 million trees on the planet.

To support “Country Parks Plantation Enrichment Programme”, AEON Stores (Hong Kong) Co., Limited ("AEON Stores"), AEON Credit Service (Asia) Co., Ltd. (“AEON Credit Service”) and Friends of the Earth (HK) jointly hosted 2024 Tree Planting Event. The objectives of the Programme included planting native saplings and performing post-planting maintenance in order to boost the ecological value of and biodiversity in country parks.

The tree planting event was successfully held at Tai Lam Country Park on 21 April. Mr. Kenichi OKADA, Consul General (Ambassador) of the Consulate General of Japan in Hong Kong was invited cordially to attend the event. Totally 85 enthusiastic AEON employees, their children and volunteers together planted 400 native saplings, contributing to the greening of Hong Kong and conservation of the local ecological environment.

On the day of the event, participants have been distributed plating tools while proceeded to tree planting site. And carefully planted saplings in the soil in designated zones, taking seriously the opportunity to plant trees with their own hands. We wish all the saplings will be able to thrive and become a forest, so as to pass on precious natural resources to the next generation.

In order to achieve the vision of “Create a future lifestyle that leads to a smile for each and every person”, AEON will continue its tree planting efforts, contribute to society and create a sustainable future for AEON people, customers and communities.
