AEON Volunteer Team: "Used Book Recycling Campaign 2024" Book Sorting Activity

The Used Book Recycling Campaign 2024, which has been co-organized by World Vision Hong Kong and AEON Stores (Hong Kong) Co., Limited for over 30 years since 1992, held from 7th June to 19th June in all AEON STYLE, AEON stores and AEON SUPERMARKET, has received great support from the public.

On 17th June, volunteers from AEON helped to divide books into fixed categories to facilitate charity sales afterwards at Book Collection Centre at Lai Chi Kok.

The funds raised from this event will continuously support World Vision in local projects with an aim to support the learning and skills training of grass-roots children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and their families in Hong Kong, for example providing professional one-on-one play therapy to SEN children to improve their emotional and behavioral issues, providing individual and group counselling for parents to enhance parent-child relationships, training parents to become certified art instructors so that they can maintain livelihoods while caring for children and contribute to the community, organizing talks and workshops to help people understand the needs of SEN children from the perspectives of parents and caregivers, and organizing a Community Inclusion Fest to let the public learn about the talents of SEN children and promote a culture of equality and inclusion. Join us in “Listening to the voices of SEN students and their families”as we work together towards a brighter future for them!
