On January 23, The AEON Scholarship Award Ceremony was held at The University of Hong Kong, where certificates were awarded to 20 recipients. Representatives from The University of Hong Kong also delivered gratitude remarks and share their experiences.

As an essential part of fulfilling Corporate Social Responsibility, AEON Group has expanded the AEON Scholarship Program overseas since 2008, awarding scholarships to more than 9,350 students across Asia. Through this program, AEON aims to support to outstanding university students who bear the responsibilities of the future, encouraging them to study diligently with a sense of mission and to create a better future through education while achieving their dreams.

Since 2019, AEON Stores (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. and AEON Credit Service (Asia) Co., Ltd. have collaborated with The University of Hong Kong to set up the AEON Scholarship. This scholarship is primarily awarded to undergraduate students studying Japanese studies, Business & Economics and Engineering, aligning with local development needs and nurturing more talents in these fields. For the 2024-2025 academic year, 20 students have been awarded the AEON Scholarship, with each receiving HK$10,000.

Mr. Takenori NAGASHIMA stated in his speech: "The AEON Scholarship originated in Japan in 1958 and has become a cornerstone of our corporate culture, which is to 'start with what we can do' and actively contribute to the prosperity and development of the community. This year marks the sixth year of collaboration between the AEON Scholarship and The University of Hong Kong. Seeing students demonstrate resilience and enthusiasm in overcoming challenges and achieving academic excellence deeply moves me. The changes in the world and regional conflicts pose obstacles to global stability and sustainable development. As future leaders, I hope you continue to equip yourselves, enlighten the future, and carry forward AEON's spirit and values, working together to create a more sustainable and inclusive future.”
