AEON Stores, AEON Credit Service, AEON Delight and Friends of the Earth (HK) Jointly Host the Tree Planting Event

AEON Group has been an active contributor to environmental protection, committed to mounting environmental protection activities worldwide. Since 1991, AEON Group has carried out greening and forestation activities around the world, protecting the environment and biodiversity, and promoting the importance of protecting forests. As of February 2025, AEON has planted a total of 12.76 million trees on the planet.

To support "Country Parks Plantation Enrichment Programme”, AEON Stores (Hong Kong) Co., Limited ("AEON Stores"), AEON Credit Service (Asia) Co., Ltd. ("AEON Credit Service"), AEON Delight (Asia) Limited ("AEON Delight") and Friends of the Earth (HK) jointly hosted 2026 Tree Planting Event. The objectives of the Programme included planting native saplings and performing post-planting maintenance in order to boost the ecological value of and biodiversity in country parks.

The tree planting event was successfully held at Tai Lam Country Park on 19 April. Mr. Kazuki MATSUBARA, Deputy Consul-General, Consulate-General of Japan in Hong Kong was invited cordially to attend the event and delivered a speech. Over 80 enthusiastic AEON employees and their children volunteers together planted 1,000 native saplings included Castanopsis fissa, Reevesia thyrsoidea, Cyclobalanopsis neglecta, etc., contributing to the greening of Hong Kong and conservation of the local ecological environment.

Mr. Takenori NAGASHIMA, Managing Director of AEON Stores (Hong Kong), said, "This year, AEON Stores (Hong Kong), AEON Credit Service, and our newly joined member, AEON Delight, are pleased to further strengthen our collaboration with Friends of the Earth (Hong Kong) through this Tree Planting Event. The addition of new AEON members expands our impact and enhances our collective contribution to sustainable social development. Together, we will continue to nurture green forests and pass them on to future generations. Lastly, climate change is a challenge we all share. Let us work together toward a greener and more sustainable future.”

On the day of the event, participants have been distributed plating tools while proceeded to tree planting site. And carefully planted saplings in the soil in designated zones, taking seriously the opportunity to plant trees with their own hands. We wish all the saplings will be able to thrive and become a forest, so as to pass on precious natural resources to the next generation.
