AEON Volunteer Team: "Food Appreciation and Care Meal Preparation" Initiative

On the morning of June 4, the AEON Volunteer Team participated in a "Food Appreciation and Care Meal Preparation" Initiative, assisting at a kitchen in Sha Tin to pack 11,953 meal boxes. The initiative aimed to provide food support to those in need while spreading warmth and care within the community.

AEON has long been committed to fulfilling its corporate social responsibility by regularly organizing volunteer initiatives to support people in need. The company also actively participates in food recycling programmes, striving to promote a "food appreciation" culture and reduce waste.

This meal preparation initiative not only provided practical assistance to underprivileged groups, but also aimed to convey the important messages of "resource conservation" and "community care", encouraging the public to incorporate sustainable practices into their daily lives. Through the collective efforts of its volunteers, AEON continues to bring warmth to the community while further demonstrating its commitment to sustainable development and social responsibility.

Food Angel rescues surplus food from the food industry that is still safe to eat and transforms it into nutritious meals, bringing warmth and care to those in need. Every week, Food Angel recovers an average of 38 tonnes of food, prepares and distributes over 25,000 meals daily, and provides an additional 4,000 meals and food packs to support the community, all free of charge to individuals requiring food assistance.
