AEON MAXVALU PRIME CAUSEWAY BAY STORE RENAMED "AEON SUPERMARKET CAUSEWAY BAY STORE"   Adjusts Merchandise Mix to Better Target the Needs of Customers

(HONG KONG, 18 December 2012) – AEON Stores (Hong Kong) Co., Limited ("AEON Stores" or the "Group") (Stock code: 984) announced that its AEON MaxValu Prime Causeway Bay Store has been renamed "AEON SUPERMARKET Causeway Bay Store" ("the Store") with immediate effect.

Since opening in August this year, the Store has been attentively monitoring customers' consumption patterns and preferences. After careful analysis of the first few months of operation and customers' feedback, the Group has decided to adjust its merchandise mix by adding to a variety of daily necessities items in order to effectively meet the customers' needs in the district. Another step has been to change the Store's name to "AEON SUPERMARKET Causeway Bay Store" to reinforce the concept of a one-stop quality lifestyle department store. The Store is also offering complementary ancillary facilities such as free parking for shoppers within and outside the district.

In the future, we will continue to evaluate additional locations to further expand our presence and offer the enjoyable AEON shopping experience to residents in different districts."
